James Southern is a Chartered Surveyor and director of James Southern Real Estate Ltd, bringing over two decades of practical experience in property development and investment across the UK and European markets. His expertise spans commercial property consultancy, development, and asset management, with a particular focus on delivering sustainable returns for his clients.
After earning his first-class honours in Real Estate from the University of Northumbria and an MBA in Construction and Real Estate from the University of Reading, James built his expertise at several established firms before founding his boutique real estate advisory company. His broad experience covers masterplanning mixed-use developments, portfolio management, and commercial surveying.
James has successfully delivered notable projects including London’s 14 Cornhill and Bristol’s Finzels Reach, alongside the careful restoration of a listed building into student accommodation. His track record includes managing £1M+ portfolio restructurings and finding practical solutions to complex property challenges.
